CastGuard™ – The Next Generation Cast Control Technology

Baitcasting can be challenging due to backlash and line overrun. Despite this long lasting problem, manufacturers have not been able to properly address this issue without losing cast distance, control and versatility.

CastGuard offers the ultimate solution with its mechanical brake system, based on the patented Transversor technology. The Transversor detects minor changes in spool rotation speed and engages the brake arm using Euler force once a deceleration threshold is reached.

Unlike other braking systems that depend on centrifugal force or magnetic force, CastGuard’s Transversor technology provides unmatched precision and control.

Svivlo Genesis ONE is an ultra durable 300-size baitcaster perfect for predator fishing. The Haegr body made out of CF40 carbon fibre provides a balanced mix of extreme sturdiness and light weight for all day long fishing. Genesis ONE it easily handles lure weights ranging from 8g/0.28oz up to over 300g/10oz without any fine-tuning.

  • OUR STORY

    Svivlo was founded by the watchmaker Sten-Thore Zander and his son Patrik Zander. As a watchmaker who has spent his whole life managing small complex objects in motion and as an angler getting backlash, he decided to do something about the problem. After many years, thousands and thousands of hours engineering, building and testing he finally solved the baitcasters Gordian knot and invented the world’s only properly working cast brake – CastGuard™.

  • Name origin

    Svivlo might sound like a made up word but is in fact old Norse for “spinning around” and also a dialect of “Svirvel” which was a fishing lure made out of tin. What better reason than this to name our brand Svivlo?
